Template Experts are out-of-the-box Experts shipped by the Augment team. They have been battle-tested across engineering organizations that use standardized third-party integrations and are designed to produce high-quality sessions for common software development workflows. If a Template Expert fits your use case, we recommend using it instead of building a custom Expert from scratch. Template Experts are automatically managed and maintained by Augment, including model updates, prompt improvements, workflow tuning, and other quality improvements over time. For a Template Expert, the system prompt is a single include statement that references a prompt managed by Augment. Your customizations, such as which specific repositories to run on and other workflow-specific details, are appended below that include. This is what lets Augment keep improving the underlying prompt over time while your configuration stays intact.You don’t have to deploy these by hand — ask Cosmos Advisor to set them up for you.
